R38 Impregnating Sealant Remover
Impregnating Sealant Remover Removes dirt and residue from stone / brick / concrete. Ideal for use as a surface preparation before sealing exterior stone. Also removes excess sealer from porous and non-porous surfaces.
- Cover the top with a cloth during opening to avoid splashes
- Using a suitable brush, apply a generous, even coat at a rate of 4 to 5m2 per litre. Do not brush out.
- Leave for appropriate time established by the test samples (as per preparation instructions)
- Scrub well with a stiff deck brush to loosen residues. Do not cut the process short - the coating needs to be heavy and even and left for a sufficient time to have the desired effect. Do not allow the cleaner to dry out
- After the product has penetrated into the substrate, all the coating can be easily removed using a power washer. Alternatively, a stiff deck brush and running water can be used
- To establish correct removal timings and suitability, always test an inconspicuous area before use by creating six small test samples of no more than 50mm round with the liquid generously applied (approximately 4 m2 per litre)
- Apply the six samples at the same time - spaced sufficiently apart to allow individual washing and removal
- Remove one sample at a time, at 30 minute intervals. This will give the correct timing for the product
- Wash the area and whichever sample is perfectly clean will be the timing you will need for the whole area ensure the surface(s) to be cleaned are dry before applying. Protection should be provided for floor coatings that you do not wish to remove or any surface that may be damaged by the remover i.e. Perspex, plastics, rubber etc.... As well as plants, shrubs and grass.
